Last Minute Clinic operates this website and the matching service behind it. We are the data controller for the personal information described here. You can reach us at hello@lastminuteclinic.org.

If you're a patient: your name, email address, phone number, the town or postcode you gave us, the kinds of appointment you're waiting for, how far you'll travel and how much notice you need. If you complete a reusable intake profile, that also includes the medical, lifestyle and insurance details you choose to enter, so clinic forms can be filled in for you.

If you're a clinic: the practice details, contact details, regulator registration number, premises photographs and accreditation documents you upload for verification, plus the appointments you release.

Everyone: account sign-in details, records of notifications we sent you, bookings you made, payments taken and basic technical information such as your device type and pages visited.

Card numbers never reach us. Payments and saved cards are handled by our payment provider, and we only see the card type, its last four digits and its expiry date.

To run the service you asked for — matching you to appointments, taking payment and supporting the booking — on the basis of performing our contract with you.

Health-related details you give us, such as the type of care you need or your intake profile, are special category data. We process those only with your explicit consent, given when you enter them, and you can withdraw that consent by editing or deleting them.

To keep the service safe and lawful — verifying clinics, preventing fraud and abuse, keeping financial records — on the basis of our legitimate interests and our legal obligations.

When you claim an appointment, the clinic receives what it needs to deliver it: your name, contact details and the details relevant to that appointment, including any intake form completed from your profile. Clinics do not get access to your wider profile or to patients they have never seen.

We use service providers who process data on our behalf: hosting and database infrastructure, our email sender, our SMS sender and our payment provider. They act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

We keep your account and its contents while your account is open. If you delete your account, your profile, preferences and match history are removed. We keep records of completed transactions for as long as UK financial and tax law requires, and we keep a suppression record of addresses that have unsubscribed so we don't email them again.

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, withdraw consent, and ask for your data in a portable form. You can delete your account yourself at any time from your account settings. Write to hello@lastminuteclinic.org for anything else and we'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to understand how the site is used. See the cookie policy for the detail. Notifications about matching appointments are part of the service you signed up for; every email carries an unsubscribe link and you can turn text or email alerts off in your preferences.

If we change this policy materially, we'll email account holders before it takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
