Terms of service

Last updated 13 September 2026. These terms cover everyone using Last Minute Clinic. Clinics also agree to the clinic terms set out on the clinics page.

What this service is

Last Minute Clinic is a marketplace. We introduce patients to private, self-pay UK clinics that have appointments available at short notice, and we handle payment for those appointments. We do not provide healthcare, clinical advice or a diagnosis, and we are not a party to the clinical relationship between you and the clinic.

The service is not for emergencies and is not an NHS service. In an emergency call 999. For urgent advice call 111.

Your account

You must be 18 or over to hold an account and the details you give us must be accurate. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend or close an account that abuses the service, misrepresents who it belongs to, or repeatedly fails to attend claimed appointments.

Claiming an appointment

Claiming holds the appointment for you alone for five minutes while you pay. If you don't complete payment in that time the hold lapses and the appointment returns to other waiting patients. A claim only becomes a booking when payment is authorised and the booking is confirmed.

Appointment details — the time, the type, the price and any conditions — are set by the clinic. We pass them on as given and we don't independently verify each one.

Prices, fees and payment

You pay the price the clinic set for the appointment plus a £3 buyer protection fee. The fee is ours and is non-refundable once an appointment has taken place. We take a 10% commission from the clinic on filled appointments; that comes out of the clinic's share, not on top of your price.

Your payment is held and released to the clinic 24 hours after the appointment, or sooner if both sides confirm it went ahead. If either side flags a problem in that window, the payout is frozen while we look into it.

Some clinics require a card on file and charge for a no-show or a late cancellation. Those terms are shown on the appointment before you claim it, and by claiming you agree to them.

Cancellations and refunds

If the clinic cancels, or the appointment doesn't take place for a reason that isn't your fault, you get the appointment price back in full. If you cancel, the clinic's published cancellation terms apply.

Because appointments are booked for a specific date and time, the usual 14-day cancellation right for online purchases does not apply once the appointment has been provided with your agreement.

Raise a problem with us within 24 hours of the appointment time so the payout can be held while we deal with it. Write to hello@lastminuteclinic.org.

Clinics and clinical responsibility

Clinics on the platform confirm they hold the UK registrations required for the care they offer, and we verify that at onboarding. The care itself, including any advice, treatment and record-keeping, is the clinic's responsibility and is governed by its own terms and its regulator.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no false bookings, no attempts to bypass payment or contact clinics to avoid fees, no scraping, no interfering with the platform's security, and nothing unlawful.

Our liability

We're responsible for running the marketplace and handling your payment properly. We're not liable for the clinical care you receive, for a clinic failing to honour an appointment beyond refunding you, or for indirect losses such as lost earnings. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or anything else that can't be limited in law. Nothing here affects your statutory consumer rights.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the service develops, and we'll tell account holders by email before material changes take effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
